Welcome to Art-Reviews Grand Opening :)
I decided that my reviews of artists and their art should be moved to it’s own home because they deserve their own special topic in their own special home. The following pages were moved from my main blog at http://barbaraburns.com/barbarablog/

I’m not doing resolutions for the upcoming new year this end of 2007 year … I am working on accomplishing my Top 5 for first quarter 2008 from my To Do List instead. That will move other things up once those first 5 are accomplished - I am determined that I will be accomplishing things in 2008 that I have not made the time to get done or have not prioritized into making those things happen that I really do want done.
# 1 on my To Do List was to get my state name tribal dragonflies on t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, etc back online for sale. I started last week and finally finished yesterday morning
.. you can see them at Art Dragonflies by Barbara Burns … they are usually my most popular design of all my dragonflies - people, including me, love to show their state pride and blue is my favorite color … research shows that it is one of the most popular favorite color choices for most people - I didn’t know that when I created them - I just used blues because I love the various shades of blue.
# 2 on my To Do List was to join the NY Falcon Forum to learn more about how to be a successful Affiliate Marketer. I accomplished that yesterday too and in the 3 or 4 posts I read this morning, I figured out that I really do need to move my art reviews / artist reviews to a separate topic so they do not get lost in all the daily life “stuff” at my Life Journal blog.
#3 was to find and register a domain name for my art reviews - we’re here so I accomplished that one today. I am only moving the pages above … not the posts from all the other blogs … they belong where they are … for example: the Seascape Artist blog and the Watercolor Gift blog and the forthcoming Fantasy Art Gift blog (it is changing from a website over to a blog format so it is easier for me to update - having to upgrade to Vista has created all sorts of issues for me, in particular, my old Dreamweaver software - version 4 - does not work on Vista and I do not want to spend $400 to be able to update one website once a week … not at least at this time - I may change my mind next year … perhaps 2nd or 3rd quarter 2008).
# 4 on my To Do List is to change Fantasy Art Gift from a website to a blog. As soon as I finish this post, I will be working on that next. That will take some time but it will be fun - I have a template in mind to use for it and I think it will be fun for it to be a nice new clean, well organized & easy to maintain gift blog.
#5 on my To Do List is to organize my office / studio space and to paint regularly again. Last time I tried to paint, it was very uncomfortable and I did not have things at my fingertips - it was quite distracting and I was not happy with the way the painting turned out because of that.
I need to get my drawing board setup to hold the 18″ x 24″ watercolor paper on the easel so that I can have my watercolor pencils / paints and water right there on my drawing table instead of having them be scattered - some on my drawing table to the pencils being on the bookcase and needing to get up and go across the room to my office desk because my reference material won’t fit on the drawing table or the bookcase next to it where I can see it - there is plenty of room on the drawing table when I work small … it is when I use the large watercolor tablets that I cannot paint happily so that is the next task to accomplish. My goal is to have all these done for the end of the first quarter which is March 31st … and yes … I am nearly done by the end of 2007 with these particular tasks … but I do not want to stress myself over accomplishing these - my grandson is coming tomorrow and spending time with me and that is much more important than any of these tasks on my To Do List … if I cannot finish them during my vacation … I will be back to evenings and week-ends … and I’m supposed to take some Technical Writing classes for my day job … that is going to take up time and I need to do well of course … not only for the company but for my own self confidence.
