Will You Display Celtic Art for St Patricks Day?
St Patrick’s Day is less than a month away. For those of us with Irish in our ancestry … it is a very important day for more than just green beer or pinching or being pinched if not wearing green. I love Celtic art … always have - it is gorgeous and those knotwork designs have to be a lot of work but very worth the effort as long as it is not me having to create them … I know I do not have the patience let alone the gift for creating them but I enjoy other people’s celtic knotwork designs. My friend Kristen Fox has lots of gorgeous Celtic art designs in her Imagekind Gallery and all would be perfect fine art prints for your walls or to give as gifts. Celtic art is not only wonderful to display for St Patricks Day but all year round … it will fit into any decor with any style furniture and Kristen has a variety of colors that would match, accent or complement your interior design plan.
For me, Celtic and Ireland or Irish are the exact same thing .. .I know many people will tell ya that the Celts were all over the known world and not isolated to Ireland. I do know that … but my soul tells me that Celts are Irish … thus my firm belief that Celtic means Irish and Irish means Celtic … works for me.
I received a lovely Celtic tiled box for Christmas as a gift form a friends .. .I look at it every morning and enjoy the Celtic Spirals … I am saving up to buy one of Kristen’s Fine Art Prints … the one I want in particular is her Celtic Autumn Leaves. It is gorgeous! I have her Hot Celtic Dragonfly on a yellow t-shirt and everyone loves it whenever I wear it - she gets lots of compliments on it because it is gorgeous! It would be breathtaking as a fine art print framed and hanging on the wall … trust me .. people would notice it immediately! I have her Cool Celtic Dragonfly on a button - everyone notices it too because it is perfectly drawn and the colors are magnificently balanced. It too would be spectacular as a wall hanging framed fine art print.

These are all original designs, plucked from my mind, but influenced by the ancient Celtic masters, like those in treasured illuminated manuscripts.
Celtic Sun-Moon Hourglass
An hourglass, decorated with and surrounded by Celtic Knotwork in wood and vines, displays the day passing as the sands of the sun pour into the moon. This hourglass mandala appears on a stately blue background.

Celtic Clockwork uses black and white and traditional Celtic spirals in a modern interpretation reminiscent of the gears and mechanisms inside a clock!
(Spirals are hand drawn, and then finished digitally.)

Celtic Trinity Knot
A gorgeous Celtic trinity knot done in greens and golds, and accented in additional Celtic knotwork art. A classic symbol of unity and interconnectedness!
Celtic Daggers
Two Celtic daggers crossed against a bejeweled round shield. The daggers are a matched pair with knotwork etching up the blades and across the quillons. The handles are also wrapped in leather-ish Celtic knotwork. A huge rhombus-shaped green emerald finishes each piece.
This is a wonderful print for Fantasy and Science Fiction lovers - something to hang on the wall to give a modern room a more medieval flair!
