Will You Display Celtic Art for St Patricks Day?

St Patrick’s Day is less than a month away. For those of us with Irish in our ancestry … it is a very important day for more than just green beer or pinching or being pinched if not wearing green. I love Celtic art … always have - it is gorgeous and those knotwork designs have to be a lot of work but very worth the effort as long as it is not me having to create them … I know I do not have the patience let alone the gift for creating them but I enjoy other people’s celtic knotwork designs. My friend Kristen Fox has lots of gorgeous Celtic art designs in her Imagekind Gallery and all would be perfect fine art prints for your walls or to give as gifts. Celtic art is not only wonderful to display for St Patricks Day but all year round … it will fit into any decor with any style furniture and Kristen has a variety of colors that would match, accent or complement your interior design plan.

For me, Celtic and Ireland or Irish are the exact same thing .. .I know many people will tell ya that the Celts were all over the known world and not isolated to Ireland. I do know that … but my soul tells me that Celts are Irish … thus my firm belief that Celtic means Irish and Irish means Celtic … works for me.

I received a lovely Celtic tiled box for Christmas as a gift form a friends .. .I look at it every morning and enjoy the Celtic Spirals … I am saving up to buy one of Kristen’s Fine Art Prints … the one I want in particular is her Celtic Autumn Leaves. It is gorgeous! I have her Hot Celtic Dragonfly on a yellow t-shirt and everyone loves it whenever I wear it - she gets lots of compliments on it because it is gorgeous! It would be breathtaking as a fine art print framed and hanging on the wall … trust me .. people would notice it immediately! I have her Cool Celtic Dragonfly on a button - everyone notices it too because it is perfectly drawn and the colors are magnificently balanced. It too would be spectacular as a wall hanging framed fine art print.

Sunset Cottage With Rose Covered Fence by Nancy Monaghan

Today’s featured art is Sunset Cottage With Rose Covered Fence by Nancy Monaghan

I have not been to Ireland - I want to go but it has not happened yet.

When I go, I am hoping to see cottages just like this one - it is very similar to cottages you could see most anywhere … but I am expecting more of these than mobile homes or trailers doting the landscape as we have here many places in the US.

This is a lovely scene - it reminds me of my childhood - hanging clothes out to dry on a clothesline … needing to get them in just before dark and smelling how fresh they were after drying in the spring air.

White mat echoes the white cottage and adds another dimension to the painting. Of course, at Imagekind, you can choose the mat and frame for your Fine Art Print that matches the art or your home or office.

Whether it is true or not - I always associate Irish and Ireland with Celtic … for me, the two are one and the same - people in Ireland let alone any where else might not agree with me … I don’t know … what I do know is that this lovely cottage puts me in mind of someone inside this lovely Irish cottage working on gorgeous Celtic knotwork after the daily chores and meals are done to make their life and surrounds filled with beauty.
