Today’s featured art is Brixworth Church - Winter by Colin Bailey

I love church architecture. The ochres, browns and oranges bring a warmth to this scene that looks like it might be bracing for a storm when looking at the sky … the bare tree limbs on either side of the picture, the dark flock of birds flying and the headstones dotting the brilliant green grasses on the ground all frame this with a variety of textures and colors … yet all are in harmony and a graceful elegant balance that draws me into the warmth of the old church building.
