Today’s featured art is Celtic Tree of Life by Kristen Fox
Celtic knotwork and scrollwork is a lot of detail and a lot of time consuming effort … but it is gorgeous!
The tree is very unique and I can see all the natural elements in this lovely design. The color balance is awesome and all the colors harmonize into a lovely symphony … yes I hear music looking at this piece … and I think I hear fairies singing in the background.!

Our world is filled with color … sometimes it is a mingled chaos while other times it is subdued and pastel …. but sometimes old fashioned black and white is the very best choice for the most impact and boldest statement. Light vs dark … good vs evil … positive vs negative … stark contrasts and a bold monotone color palette gives us all something to think about … Sylvain Francois has given a very powerful image here that reminds me of …
Yea, though I walk through the Valley …. I will fear no evil …. the 23rd Psalm - whoever did the Psalm translations was a true poet - the poetry and graceful music is very apparent in the Psalms.

Rays of Light by Sylvain Francois
Normally I think of a canyon surrounded by darkness instead of a forest path lit by sunlight to go with that Psalm … but this scene brought that Psalm to mind as my first thought upon seeing it. Very powerful metaphor and image.
