Sheryl is a friend - she has lovely art work … she is a gifted and talented writer as well - visit her blog to enjoy her witty sense of humor and fun writing style. She creates awesome t-shirt designs too!
I’m showcasing her lovely ImageKind Fine Art Prints in this review. Her art contains a lot of symbols and symbolism … I find that the same symbol can mean something completely differerent to one person than it means to another just as meaning for a color to one is not necessarily the same meaning for everyone.
Take her painting, “Branches” for example … all those glorious reds … this painting has all the bright & energizing oomph of a dusk sky afire before dark … for me, it is a restful awe-inspiring view yet infinitely sad too … see the barren branches covered in a light frosting of ice? She mentions the Tree of Life …. for me, it reminds me that our Earth is being pushed to the limits of it’s endurance faster and faster and sunset for our lovely blue & green planet is fast approaching if we do not start changing our ways and restoring nature and her bounty to the world.
I hear the argument about Global Warming . . . the Greenhouse Effect . . .
Some people, like myself, believe it is happening way too fast and fear that it may already be too late to save our glorious planet from ruin … and others do not believe in it at all … reminds me of the Ice Age movie and all the ice melting … the ice caps are melting faster and faster according to everything I’ve read and a documentary I watched on Public TV.
Sheryl’s painting “She” … very complicated design for a very complicated subject … it is lovely when seen as a whole and draws me in to study each and every pattern used to create the entire painting … I could sit and gaze at this painting for hours … I find it fascinating and spell-binding. It would make a great focal point for a room … then build your entire room around the colors in this painting.
