This lovely Mama Kangaroo with her joey baby is a heart warming sight - it reminds me that within the last month or so, there was a kangaroo out & about loose - I think it was in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
A Vet had taken it home … I think for the week-end - I only got to hear bits & pieces of the story - Miss Sugar Plum wanted attention and she was quite insistent.
After it was recaptured, I believe it was taken to a zoo. My first thought hearing that was … why on earth would someone have a kangaroo that wasn’t in z zoo to being with - then I remembered the mountain lion or cougar if you prefer named Pork Chop that lived across the street from my biological mother’s house and the day it got loose - scared me to say the least to be face to face with a mountain lion on a city street!
People are bizarre! Wild animals belong in the wild - what little there is left of it, in a zoo, a nature preserve or nature park - I am not fond of them being part of the circus either … but they do not belong in people’s homes or neighborhoods.
